📜TOSALE.TXT — Terms of sale

Terms of sale

Version of 13 August 2026 — applicable to any purchase of LifePaths credits.
The “LifePaths Corp.™” universe, the “AREA”, “Ontological Directive 7-B” and everything the credit shop tells you are fiction and humour: no artificial life is really sold, and your biological existence remains, as far as we know, your own. These terms, however, are quite real and govern your purchase.

1. Publisher and seller

The LifePaths service (the “Service”) is published and sold by Antoine Cottenier, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), trading as LifePaths.
Registered office: 72 rue Henri Robert Neu, Apt 13, 59700 Marcq-en-Barœul, France.
SIREN 108 312 349 — SIRET 10 831 234 900 013 — business code APE 5821Z (publishing of electronic games), registered with the French National Business Register on 12 August 2026.
Publication director: Antoine Cottenier. Contact: contact@lifepaths.io.
Hosting: Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA); database: Supabase (EU); payments: Stripe Inc.

VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The seller benefits from the French small-business VAT exemption: displayed prices include no value added tax, and no VAT is charged or recoverable.

2. Purpose

These terms govern the sale of LifePaths credits: virtual units that allow the use of the Service's AI narrative generation features (“LifePath.life” mode). Credits have no monetary value outside the Service, are neither electronic money nor a payment instrument, are not transferable between accounts and cannot be resold.

3. Prices

The prices of credit packs are shown in euros, all taxes included, on the purchase page at the time of ordering — as the seller benefits from the small-business VAT exemption (see article 1), that price contains no tax. No additional fee is added at payment: the amount displayed is the amount charged. The seller may change prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed when the order is confirmed. Credits already acquired are unaffected by a price change.

4. Ordering and payment

Purchasing requires an active LifePaths account. Payment is made online by bank card through the secure provider Stripe; no card data is stored by the Service. The order is firm as soon as Stripe confirms payment.

Sales territory. Credits are not sold in the United Kingdom, as the seller is not registered for UK VAT. A purchase attempted from that country is declined. This restriction concerns purchases only: account creation, the free trial and the use of credits already acquired remain available there.

5. Delivery

Credits are added to the account balance immediately after payment is confirmed. If credits are not received after a confirmed payment, contact contact@lifepaths.io: the situation will be put right (crediting of the balance or refund).

6. Right of withdrawal

Credits are digital content supplied without a tangible medium whose performance begins immediately after purchase. In accordance with article L221-28, 1° of the French Consumer Code, by ticking the box provided at the time of purchase, you request immediate performance of the service and expressly waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. Without this acceptance, the purchase cannot be completed.

7. Use and validity of credits

8. Account deletion

Voluntarily deleting the account entails the definitive loss of any remaining credits, which the user acknowledges and accepts at the time of deletion. This loss does not apply where deletion follows a breach by the seller.

9. Availability and generated content

The Service is provided “as is”, with an aim of reasonable availability but no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. The stories produced by the artificial intelligence are fictional, generated automatically, and constitute neither advice nor encouragement; they may deal with difficult situations (simulated failure, illness, justice, death) inherent in the premise of the game. If a game turn fails technically after credits have been deducted, the corresponding credits are restored on request.

10. Personal data

Data (e-mail, game history, credit balance) is processed in accordance with the GDPR, solely for the operation of the Service. Rights of access, rectification and erasure: “Settings → Account” or contact@lifepaths.io. Details in the legal notices (Settings → Legal notices).

11. Consumer mediation

In accordance with articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumers may have free recourse to a consumer mediator in the event of a dispute not resolved by a prior written complaint to the seller, sent to contact@lifepaths.io. A consumer residing in the European Union may also contact the European Consumer Centre of their country of residence.

In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code on "the consumer dispute mediation process", after contacting us and failing a satisfactory response, you may have free recourse to a consumer mediation procedure with:

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action; failing that, the French courts will have jurisdiction under the ordinary rules.
